A downloadable game

During the days of COVID-19, my kids needed a pet. So we made one!

To use it, go to the project page at the Scratch website. The pet's bedtime story can be played using the embedded version below.

To run the bedtime story, just press the green flag.

If you have a micro:bit, you can use it as a pet. We put it on a spider. The pet likes being stroked, and likes the story. If it gets neither, it will become sad.

We also mounted the pet on an STS-Pi roving robot (made with a Raspberry Pi with camera). The movement of the robot makes the pet happy in the same way as stroking. The script we use for the robot (not included here) makes the robot stop when it gets dark. The bedtime story stops the pet getting sad when this happens.
